Time-frame: 2018 - 2019

Country/Region: The Netherlands

Key Services Provided:

    • Stakeholder management

    • Requirements development

    • CONOPS development

The Challenge

Given the compact size of the Dutch airspace, extending the arrival management working horizon requires collaboration among neighboring FIRs, as outlined in the Cross-Border Arrival Management Concept (XMAN). To enhance flight efficiency and to reduce controller workload, it was necessary to implement management of arrival times.

Our Approach

To70 facilitated the drafting of a Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for a trial period of operations of XMAN system at Amsterdam – followed by refinement through stakeholder discussions. This initiative represented a significant advancement in the FABEC XMAN development program, involving the cooperation of more than two ANSPs (Reims UAC, MUAC, Belgocontrol, and LVNL).
