The Challenge
Contribute to realisation of a comprehensive, future-proof design of Dutch airspace.
Our Approach
To70 experts took up the roles of Coordinator of the Performance Cell and ATM experts within the Dutch Airspace Redesign Programme. To support activities of the Performance Cell, several involved stakeholders were consulted, including: Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre (MUAC), EUROCONTROL Network Manager (NM), German Airforce (GAF), Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS), Royal Netherlands Airforce (RNLAF) and Air Traffic Control the Netherlands (LVNL). Following the consultations, assessments of preliminary designs of the new airspace and route structures on safety, environment, efficiency and capacity using state-of-the-art methodologies were performed. The results informed decisions on the future structure of the Dutch airspace.
