In the project, To70 supports Brussels airport in project coordination and stakeholder engagement to improve synergies and collaboration. We work closely with all 22 partners to understand EU airport’s latest developments, the challenges, and opportunities for decarbonisation.
The stargate project has given us the opportunity to work with a range of airports and support them in implementing a range of solutions, including operational improvements, infrastructure for new fuels, solar panels, etc. As part of the Stargate project, we organized the airports hydrogen event together with ACI Europe, which included over 20 airports across Europe interested to learn more about hydrogen
The Challenge
EU Airports are a critical part of Europe’s aviation sector. They must stay at the forefront of innovation, by facilitating and enabling new energy production and storage, circular and locally beneficial assets and smart mobility solutions, to name just a few. Being able to test and pilot these innovations in an operational airport environment requires additional attention and must be a collaborative effort.
Our Approach
The EU Stargate project supports leading EU airports to develop and test innovations at their airport on topics such as multimodal transport, smart mobility, and environmental impact reduction. To70 plays an important role in the Stargate project, contributing in work packages 3, 5 and 6 and as leader of the work package 7 “Exchange and replication with Fellow Airports”.
