08 Sep To70 hosts Workshop Safety Management in cooperation with Kasetsart University
To70 hosted, together with Kasetsart University, a workshop on safety management (SMS) and just culture in Bangkok on 7 September 2016. The workshop was attended by over 80 delegates from air operators, airport management, ground operations organisations, CAA Thailand and students from the University.
Dr. Narisra Limtanakool Managing Director, To70 Thailand, acted as mediator to the main speakers; Adrian Young, Senior Aviation Consultant at To70 and Squadron Leader Dr. Somchanok Tiamtiabrat lecturer in aviation management at Kasetsart University.
The half day session included lively discussions and a frank exchange of views on safety management and just culture in general and, specially, the situation in Thailand. The Squadron Leader’s vision on the current state of SMS in Thailand was of interest to the delegates.
Following the workshop, Mr. Young commented, “It seems that the Air Operator Committee in Thailand is in a good place to advance the deeper implementation of SMS in the country’s companies, but more work is needed to integrate the needs of all of the aviation stakeholders”.
